A new home for Trust-Grants™, our grant management software for EU open calls

Trust-Grants™ is grant management software for organisations that fund other organisations through open calls, from EU research projects to foundations and public agencies. The software now has its own website, trust-grants.com, and we wanted to share a look at what sits behind it before the full launch in the coming days.

Built from real calls, not a spec sheet

Trust-Grants™ did not start as a product idea initally. It started as the tool that our own teams needed to run cascade funding calls for EU projects, and it has been in use since 2018. More than 80 open calls and over 5,000 applications later, every feature on the new site is one that a real call manager, evaluator, or applicant has relied on.

That history shaped one key design choice: configuration, not custom development. Every call has its own rules, but most of those differences can be handled by settings rather than code. This makes each new call fast to set up while keeping the core platform stable for everyone using it.

What the software handles

• Application forms with conditional logic and every common field type, built in a no-code mode or an advanced mode for complex calls.
• Roles and permissions for applicants, evaluators and call managers, each with a dashboard showing only their own tasks, deadlines and status.
• Evaluation workflows that range from independent scoring to an EC-style panel with individual reports, a rapporteur, consensus, and quality control.
• Automatic ranking when the call closes with conflicts of interest managed and a full audit trail.
• Post-award monitoring, where funded projects upload periodic reports for the call team to review.
• Separate spaces per project, each isolated and carrying its own branding.

Hosted in the EU, nothing to install

Trust-Grants™ is offered as a managed platform. Customers do not install software or run any infrastructure. All data is hosted in the EU and processed in line with the GDPR, which matters when applications contain personal data and business plans from across Europe.

Where it is used

The platform currently supports open calls for EU projects including StandICT.eu, FAIR-IMPACT, SEEBLOCKS.eu, OSCARS, InDiCo-Global, CYBERSTAND.eu, FIDELIS, EOSC-CONNECT and POLARIS.

What comes next

Our new website is the first step. A fuller announcement of the platform will follow in the coming days, with more on how projects use it and how to plan a call for 2027.
In the meantime, you can explore the platform on trust-grants.com and if you need a team to run the call alongside the software, see Trust-IT’s grants and open calls management service.
